CloakMe ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the CloakMe app and website, how we use it, and your choices.
Account information. When you sign in via Apple, Google, Microsoft, or Amazon, we receive your name and email address from that provider. We do not receive or store your identity provider password.
Phone number data. We provision real carrier phone numbers. Call logs, message metadata (numbers, timestamps), and voicemail recordings linked to your CloakMe numbers are stored to deliver the service.
Usage data. We collect app version, device OS, crash reports, and general usage patterns to improve the product.
Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment credentials — only transaction identifiers and subscription status.
We use your information to provision and manage your phone numbers; deliver calls, SMS, MMS, and voicemail; process payments and manage subscriptions; send service notifications; and detect and prevent fraud or abuse. We do not sell your personal information.
Carrier infrastructure. To deliver phone calls, SMS, and MMS, your number activity passes through our carrier connectivity provider's infrastructure under their privacy policy.
Stripe Inc. Our payment processor. Payment data is handled under Stripe's privacy policy.
Apple. App Store distribution and, where applicable, in-app purchase facilitation.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Call logs and message metadata are retained for 90 days. Voicemail recordings are retained until you delete them or cancel your subscription. When you cancel a number, it is released immediately. When you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@cloakme.io. California residents (CCPA) and EEA residents (GDPR) have additional rights under applicable law.
CloakMe is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
